3rd Shift Maintenance with Vaupell Midwest

Summary:
Assists in repairing and maintaining machinery, equipment, physical structures, and plumbing and electrical systems for the industrial establishment by performing the following duties.

 

Responsibilities:
” Dismantles machines or equipment, replaces defective parts and motors, and adjusts mechanisms.
” Cleans and maintains all machines and machine parts including shafts, pulleys, gears, and bearings.
” Ability to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
” Bends and cuts conduit and wire, and drills holes in walls, floors, and ceilings for electrical connections.
” Connects wire to motors, fixtures, and other electrical equipment, replaces switches and fuses, and splices wire and insulates wire with friction tape.
” Bends, cuts, and threads pipe, cuts openings in walls, ceilings, and floors for pipes, and seals pipe joints with sealing compound.
” Cuts out and joins parts for worktables, benches, shelves and other furnishings.
” Maintains plumbing fixtures and systems.
” Must be knowledgeable in the use of and able to safely operate machinery/tools including but not limited to: mill, lathe, band saw, drill press, chop saw, angle grinder, nibbler, power shears, pneumatic tools.
” Snow removal from walkways.
” Performs activities as they relate to ISO 13485:2003.
” All aspects of building maintenance, repair and construction

 

Requirements:
” Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
” Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
” Ability to write simple correspondence.
” Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
” Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
” Must be able to read blue prints and schematic drawings.
” Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
” Ability to deal with problems involving several fixed variables in standardized situations.
” Must have a valid driver’s license and forklift permit.
