Assembly Operator (Must be Mechanically inclined)

The role of the Assembly Operator is to assemble and wire components that fit into the final product (conveyors, weigh and fill systems, etc.). Checks the quality of all incoming and outgoing material and products as well as production procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess a trained eye for detail and will be reliable and committed. In depth knowledge and comprehension of assembly standards is essential. The goal is to ensure that our products are made of flawless materials with well-functioning equipment. That way our customers will enjoy high-quality merchandise so that we can achieve long-term success.

Read blueprints and instructions to comprehend the assembly expectations for the components or products

Approve or reject raw materials with respect to quality standards and report to team lead or supervisor

Ensure appropriate tools and assembly methods are used (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications etc.)

Use automated systems to track job status (enter job stats in E2) ” Looks at procedures of the entire production cycle to ensure they are efficient and comply with safety standards, makes suggestions for improvement.

Must be mechanically inclined ” Must be self-motivated and work independently with little to no supervision

Must have ability to stand for long periods of time. Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds without assistance Work Environment

This job operates in a professional environment on the production floor.

This role will use standard hand tools such as hammers, drills, screw drivers, wrenches, gages, measurement tools, etc. In addition, to hand tools, this role may use standard office equipment (computers, phones, fax machines, etc.). Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk or hear.


The employee must frequently lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds with or without assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Preferred Education and Experience Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience as an assembler in a mechanical equipment manufacturing environment.


Any certifications and/or degrees related to a manufacturing environment would be a plus. A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
