Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Injection Molding Technician – Supervisor to lead a small team on our 2nd shift. This role involves overseeing injection molding operations, including mold changes, to ensure efficient and high-quality production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage a team of 2-3 injection molding technicians on the 2nd shift.
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot injection molding machines.
- Responsible for efficient and accurate mold changes as part of production requirements.
- Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards throughout shift operations.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on molds and machinery.
- Train and mentor team members to improve skills and performance.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to solve production issues.
- Maintain comprehensive production and maintenance records.
- Implement company policies and strive for process improvements and efficiency.
- Monitor shift performance and promote improvements in efficiency and output.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree in plastics or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in injection molding, with experience in mold changes and supervisory roles.
- Strong knowledge of injection molding processes, materials, and equipment.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
