Paid Holidays

Specific Contract Dependent

Due to COVID-19, the paid holiday benefits are suspended until further notice.

You are important to us at OnStaff USA. We appreciate your loyalty and the professional way you represent us. For details concerning these requests, please refer to your employee pamphlet. You may be eligible for up to six paid holidays per year: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. To qualify for Holiday Pay, you must:

  • Work at least 1200 hours for OnStaff USA in the 12 months preceding the holiday.
  • Average 37.50 hours in the 13 weeks preceding the holiday, and
  • Work your full scheduled shift both the day before and the day after the holiday (subject to requirements noted below), and
  • Be on the assignment immediately before and immediately after the holiday.
  • Be on assignment at the time the benefit is paid out.

Upon qualification, employees will receive 8 hours of pay, 2 weeks after their return to work. OnStaff USA Hourly Paid Benefits* will be credited to the employee at the time they are requested and/or paid out (*Hourly Paid Benefits include OnStaff USA Holiday Pay and OnStaff USA Vacation Pay).

Holiday Pay Request Deadlines & Requirements:

Memorial Day– May 25th 2023: Employees who do not work their full scheduled shift the day before and the scheduled shift the day after will forfeit their right to the OnStaff USA Holiday Pay Benefit. Holiday Pay requests for Memorial Day must be submitted via the OnStaff USA website and are due on or before June 8, 2023. No Memorial Day requests will be honored if submitted sooner than 2 weeks prior to the Memorial Day holiday or after the June 8, 2023 deadline.

Independence Day – July 3rd, 2021: Employees who do not work their full scheduled shift the day before and the scheduled shift the day after will forfeit their right to the OnStaff USA Holiday Pay Benefit. Holiday Pay requests for Independence Day must be submitted via the OnStaff USA website and are due on or before July 17, 2023. No New Independence Day requests will be honored if submitted sooner than two weeks prior to the Independence Day holiday or after the July 17th, 2023 deadline.

Labor Day– September 4th, 2023: Employees who do not work their full scheduled shift the day before and the scheduled shift the day after will forfeit their right to the OnStaff USA Holiday Pay Benefit. Holiday Pay requests for Labor Day must be submitted via the OnStaff USA website and are due by September 18, 2023. No New Labor Day requests will be honored if submitted sooner than two weeks prior to the Labor Day holiday or after the September 18, 2023 deadline.

Thanksgiving-November 23, 2023: Employees who do not work their full scheduled shift the day before and the scheduled shift the day after will forfeit their right to the OnStaff USA Holiday Pay Benefit. Holiday Pay requests for Thanksgiving must be submitted via the OnStaff USA website and are due by December 7, 2023. No new Thanksgiving requests will be honored if submitted sooner than two weeks prior to the Thanksgiving holiday or after the December 7, 2023, deadline.

Christmas December 25, 2023:  Employees who do not work their full scheduled shift the day before and the scheduled shift the day after will forfeit their right to the OnStaff USA Holiday Pay Benefit. Holiday pay requests for Christmas must be submitted via the OnStaff USA website and are due by January 8, 2024. No new Christmas requests will be honored if submitted sooner than two weeks prior to the Christmas holiday or after the January 8th, 2024, deadline.

New Year’s Day- January 1st, 2024:  Employees who do not work their full scheduled shift the day before and the scheduled shift the day after will forfeit their right to the OnStaff USA Holiday Pay Benefit. Holiday pay requests for New Year must be submitted via the OnStaff USA website and are due by January 15, 2024. No new New Year requests will be honored if submitted sooner than two weeks prior to the New Year holiday or after the January 15th, 2024, deadline.
