We are hiring a General Labor Technician to support daily operations in non-hazardous waste processing and disposal. This is a hands-on, physical role working with industrial equipment, material sorting, and occasional off-site collection events. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands and is interested in growing into a driver role over time.
What You’ll Do Material Sorting & Handling
Sort materials including:
-Batteries -Light bulbs -Household paints -Consumer goods and packaging -Stage materials for processing, storage, and transport
-Load and unload trucks using carts and material handling equipment Customer Site Support
Participate in Household Hazardous Waste Collection events Interact professionally with customers and the public Follow all collection and safety protocols What We’re Looking For
Strong work ethic and reliable attendance Comfortable with physical, hands-on work Ability to lift 50+ lbs safely Valid driver’s license preferred (growth into driving role) Mechanical aptitude or experience with equipment operation is a plus Strong focus on safety and attention to detail Must be able to work in a non-smoking workplace Work Environment
